2023 Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness Plan Updated

May 15th kicks off Hurricane Season, 2023.   After two years of relatively mild hurricane seasons, 2023 is forecasted to  see above-average hurricane activity in the Pacific according to the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional.  Included in their forecasted 16-22 storms are 3-5 major hurricanes.

The HOA updates and circulates the Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness Plan every year.  (Download and read your copy by clicking [or right-clicking] on that link and saving.)  This year, the Plan was substantially simplified and updated.   Hopefully, you will find this new "checklist" layout useful and easily followed.  Every Owner is urged to read it carefully, with particular attention to:

  • The Introduction -- so you understand how the aftermath of hurricanes in Cabo is different.
  • The Checklist for Owners and Exhibit A (Emergency Supplies) -- The things you can do in advance to minimize damage to property and mitigate suffering if you or a renter or guest are here during a hurricane.
